Stipendien der lettischen Regierung | Latvian State Scholarships

1. Die Regierung der Republik Lettland bietet Studierenden aus Österreich Stipendien für Studium und Forschung an lettischen Hochschulen sowie Teilnahme an Sommerkursen an. Die Unterrichtssprache in Lettland ist Lettisch, viele Programme werden aber in Englisch angeboten. Voraussetzung: Antragsteller/innen müssen zumindest ein Jahr studiert haben (im Herkunftsland oder in Lettland).
    
2. Fellowships für Forschungstätigkeiten an lettischen Hochschuleinrichtungen. Antragsberechtigt sind nur Angehörige von Hochschuleinrichtungen.
    
3. Stipendien für die Teilnahme an Summer Schools. Antragsberechtigt sind nur Studierende und akademisches Personal.

1. Latvian Scholarships for studies at Latvian Higher Education Institutions
   In accordance with bilateral agreements on co-operation in education and science the State Education Development Agency (Valsts izglitibas attistibas agentura - VIAA) offers scholarships to students, researchers and teaching staff of several countries for studies, research and participation in summer schools in Latvian higher education institutions. The language of instruction at Latvian higher education institutions is Latvian but there are also some study programmes offered in English (please visit the website: www.studyinlatvia.lv for more information). Applications will be accepted from students who have successfully completed at least one academic year of studies (at their home higher education institution or at a Latvian higher education institution if they already have been studying in Latvia).
    
2. Fellowships for research work in Latvian higher education institutions. Only academic staff members of higher education institutions are eligible candidates.
    
3. Scholarships for participation in summer schools in Latvia. Only students and academic and research staff of foreign higher education institutions are eligible.
