Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da) invites all teaching and non-teaching staff from the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology fields as well as from International Offices to this year’s Erasmus International Week to join forces with the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CuB) to celebrate the opening of its brand new department building.

Some of the core subjects addressed in the Chemical Technology (CT) curriculum are industrial chemistry, instrumental and process analysis, chemical, mechanical and thermal engineering, and engineering simulations. The CT’s research activities with third party funding are currently in the fields of micro process engineering and nanotechnology. The biotechnology curriculum covers microbiology, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry as well as bioprocess engineering. Third-party funded research projects currently focus on protein-ligand interactions and neurotoxic effects of environmental contaminants.

The Erasmus International Week will take place during the most romantic time of the year, Advent season, from 4th to 8th December 2017.  A diverse programme of cultural activities, campus and lab tours and lectures from experts in the field of chemical engineering and biotechnology awaits you. Our goal is to bring together international teaching and non-teaching staff to strengthen our existing networks, create new contacts and exchange ideas about education as well as research.

For further information please visit the website or website. H-da is looking forward to receiving your application. The deadline is the 20th of October 2017.

If you plan to attend this staff training week and want to apply for ERASMUS+ staff mobility support, please check the website  and contact DI Lisa Kargl  and/or Mag. Gudrun Reisinger for further information on ERASMUS+ Staff training funding.
