A three-week summer school program includes several lectures within three major themes: Northern Nature, Population and Indigenous People, Languages of Yakutia. Students will become familiar with the unique region, its geography, history and culture.

b)    On the Edge of Permafrost -  Field Trip School: June28th-July 20th, 2017
 The most of Russian northeast territory stands on permafrost. A three-week summer school with 9 applied lectures will show students special features of climate, geography, geology, etc. The route of this school is from Yakutsk to Magadan and back along the famous Road of Bones with several stops in disctricts of Yakutia. Students will visit the coldest place on Earth where people live - Oimyakon.

c)    Lena Pillars -  Eco-Geographical Summer School: July 18th-August 1st, 2017
 The Lena Pillars Nature Park is a specially protected area, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. A two-week program provides a full access to Lena Pillars park and includes several lectures, provides opportunity to conduct field research. The program includes hiking, camping and canoeing.
