EFSA’s EU-FORA fellowship programme offers a unique opportunity to motivated early to mid-career scientists from EU national risk assessment authorities and any other Article 36 organisation to increase their knowledge and experience in food safety risk assessment.  We are pleased to inform you of a new EFSA initiative, the EUropean FOod Risk Assessment Fellowship Programme (EU-FORA), that aims to contribute in further building the EU’s scientific assessment capacity and knowledge community. The EFSA EU-FORA fellowship programme will enhance the cooperation among Europe’s food safety competent organisations and with EFSA, and promote the harmonisation of food risk assessment practices across Europe. EU-FORA concept: Selected scientists (fellows) will be placed at another European organisations (hosts) involved in food safety risk assessment, outside their home country, for 12 months. They will be fully integrated in the hosting organisations, participate in their work, gain first-hand experience and increase their knowledge of many scientific aspects relevant to food safety risk assessment. Call for Expression of Interest for fellows Deadline: 270117 Target group: motivated early to mid-career scientists from EU national risk assessment organisations, i.e. Art. 36 List organisations, interested to increase their knowledge and experience in food safety risk assessment. As the principal focus lies on chemical and microbiological food safety risk assessment, the call is aimed at professionals from fields such as: molecular biology, biology, microbiology, veterinary/human medicine agronomy/agricultural science, biochemistry, chemistry, environmental science, food technology or toxicology.
