On November 2nd, Dr. Hans Herren will be giving a lecture at the BOKU on the future of agriculture (in German).

On Wednesday, November 2nd, Dr. Hans Herren, President of the Millennium Institute (Washington, D.C.), Chairman of Biovision (Zurich, Switzerland) and co-chair of the International Agricultural Assessment (IAASTD), will be giving a lecture at the BOKU on the future of agriculture (in German). Dr. Hans Herren, president of the Millennium Institute (Washington, D.C.), Chairman of Biovision (Zurich, Switzerland) co-chair of the International Agricultural Assessment (IAASTD), will be giving a lecture in German at the BOKU on the following topic: “Die Zukunft der Landwirtschaft angesichts aktueller und künftiger globaler Herausforderungen”. His lecture will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The focus of his lecture will be on the following:

  • current and future agricultural developments
  • global environmental challenges facing agriculture (climate change, water scarcity, “peak everything”, etc.)
  • Results/recommendations from the International Agricultural Assessment (IAASTD)
