Great Success for BOKU

BOKU has reason to celebrate: not only is it one of three Austrian universities to rank among the top 50 in their field but also did it achieve a top ranking being rated rank 35 in the agriculture and forestry field in the newly released QS World University Rank by subject.

The QS rankings list the best universities worldwide in 46 fields of study and aim at providing a global comparison and highlighting world-class institutions.

Internationally in 2017 most of the top ten positions go to the University of Cambridge (36 fields of study), the University of California, Los Angeles (34) and the University of Oxford (33). The best university in continental Europe is ETH Zurich (10).

The QS ranking is based on research performance, the institution’s reputation amongst academics and a world-wide employer survey.

Out of the Top-20-Universities ranked in "Agriculture and Forestry", 17 are BOKU's co-operation partners, e.g. 3 universities who are, like BOKU, members of the Euroleague of Life Sciences (ELLS): (Wageningen University, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Copenhagen).
