Route description
If you are travelling by train you will probably arrive at one of the following
railway stations depending where you are coming from:
- west: Westbahnhof; take the U6 direction Heiligenstadt and
stop at Währinger-Straße, take bus 40A direction Döblinger
Friedhof and arrive at Linné-Platz.
- north: Franz Josephs-Bahnhof; take tramway 5 direction Westbahnhof,
stop at Alserbachstraße, take bus 40A direction Döblinger Friedhof
and arrive at Linné-Platz.
- east and south: Südbahnhof; take the U1 direction Zentrum
Kagran, stop at Karlsplatz, take U4 direction Heiligenstadt, stop at Spittelau,
take Bus 37A direction Döblinger Friedhof and arrive at Linné-Platz,
If you are travelling by plane you will arrive at Schwechat, Vienna Airport.
You are free to choose among
- a train: trains (Schnellbahn) going to Vienna are scheduled
between 05.03 and 22.23, in general they are leaving at 14 and 44 minutes
after the full hour, the tour takes about 30 minutes. Tickets (about 40 ATS;
3 ECU) can be bought at a sales office at the platform. Take Schnellbahn
to Wien Mitte, take U4 direction Heiligenstadt, stop at Spittelau, take bus
37A Direction Döblinger Friedhof and arrive at Linné-Platz,
- or a bus: buses ("Bundesbus") to "Wien Mitte / City Air Terminal
at Hotel Hilton" are scheduled to leave at 10, 30, and 50 minutes after full
hours between 06.30 and 24.00. Between 24.00 and 06.30 buses are scheduled
every 30 minutes. Take a ride to Westbahnhof, take the U6 direction Heiligenstadt
and stop at Währinger-Straße, take bus 40A direction Döblinger
Friedhof and arrive at Linné-Platz.
The WPR (Institut für Wirtschaft, Politik und Recht) is located
in the top floor of the Guttenberghaus of the BOKU (Universität
für Bodenkultur) close to Linné-Platz in the 18th
district located near Türkenschanzpark.
