PE57W17 Basics in Project Management


This seminar takes place in cooperation with the Vienna University of Technology. The course location is located at the TU Vienna.

Target group:

Research personal and persons, who have to manage complex tasks/ F&D projects efficiently and want to get basic knowledge for their professional project management.

Objectives:

Learning of basic methods of project management (pm).

Structure of the project management process: Project start/planning, Project coordination, Project controlling Project marketing, Project close-down.

Specific planning tasks and essential methods in the pm starting process.

Applying of project management methods to real projects of the participants: definition of project objectives, stakeholder-analysis, project roles, project scope, planning/work-breakdown-structure (WBS), milestones-planning, resource- and cost-planning, risk-management, social skills etc.

Methodes:

    - Theory inputs and exercises
    - Group work, discussion of project examples
    - Exchange of experiences
