Die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Biotechnologie (ÖGBT) wurde auf Initiative des Bundesministeriums für Wissenschaft und Forschung gegründet und bietet ein Forum zur Förderung und Koordinierung der österreichischen wissenschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Aktivitäten, der internationalen Zusammenarbeit, insbesondere auf europäischer Ebene und der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Behörden.
The Austrian Society for Biotechnology was founded on the initiative of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research and acts as a forum to promote and coordinate Austrian academic and industrial biotech activities, international collaboration with particular emphasis on Europe and to stimulate the dialogue between academia, industry and authorities.
