Additional information

Dipl.Ing. Nora Odabas, currently PhD student at the Department of Chemistry, Division of Chemistry of Renewable Resources (supervision: Ute Henniges, Thomas Rosenau, Antje Potthast) has won the 2nd Best Presentation Award at the 251st Spring Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) at San Diego, in the session "Functional lignocellulosics and nanotechnology". Nora Odabas is working in the framework of the FLIPPR (Future Lignin and Pulp Processing Research) project. Her lecture addresses the chemical mechanism of pulp cationization and ways to perform this process more effectively to get a better entry to cationized celluloses that find many applications in today´s pulp and paper industries.
