GAIA Masters Student Paper Award

Have your work awarded and published in a renowned scientific journal!

The international journal GAIA – Ecological Perspectives for Science and Society invites Masters students to participate in the GAIA Masters Student Paper Award. Masters students are encouraged to publish their results from research-based courses or Masters theses in the field of transdisciplinary environmental and sustainability science. Students are invited to submit an entry if their research has led to outstanding findings and/or holds relevance for important societal transformations, and/or if they have developed new paths of inter- and transdisciplinary environmental or sustainability research.

The GAIA Masters Student Paper Award will be presented on the occasion of the GAIA Annual Meeting. The winner will be granted a prize money of 1.500 Euro endowed by the Selbach Environmental Foundation, as well as a free one-year subscription to GAIA, including free online access.
Together with your article, please submit the name of an experienced mentor who is prepared to guide you through the process of writing a scientific article. We suggest that your mentor accepts co-authorship for your article. Students who have already completed their Masters thesis are eligible for submitting an article, provided
a) their article is clearly based on results from their Masters thesis
b) they have finished their Masters degree no longer than 18 months before submission.

We encourage submissions written in English; however, articles written in German will equally be considered.

Date for submission: 021115 to Ulrike Sehy sehy(at)oekom.de

Before submission, please consult GAIA's guide for authors for information on the journal's aims and scope and on manuscript preparation.
