Conference Announcement

The next meeting of  Seminar Sophus Lie will be held shortly after Halloween 2006,  on invitation and in the premises of the Erwin Schrödinger Institute (ESI), Vienna. It is organized jointly  by D. Burde (UniVie), P.W. Michor (ESI+UniVie) and W.A.F. Ruppert (BOKU).

Contributions in all fields of mathematics that  are related to the work of Sophus Lie are welcome. In particular, subjects of interest are Lie algebras,  Lie groups, Lie semigroups, homogeneous spaces and their geometry, applications of Lie theory to the theory of differential equations, symmetries...

If You want to attend the meeting  please send a letter of registration to WAF Ruppert as well as to  the administrative office of the ESI, the latter will also provide help with transportation and accomodation.  General information on transport and  accomodation is available at the home page of ESI.

If You plan to give a talk please send  the title and an abstract to WAF Ruppert.
