Scientific investigation builds on the state-of-the-art in a field of research and starts with reading, analysing and synthesizing scientific literature. This means that being knowledgeable of the latest scientific insights in a field is the precondition for innovative research.
This course starts from here and is designed for students who aim to strengthen their skills in searching and synthezising scientific literature in a targeted way. Among other benefits, this course is an excellent preparation and offers the opportunity to gain crucial skills for writing a master thesis.
The topics to review in this course are selected from agroecology and ethnoecology, and aim at investigating the diverse interactions between people and nature. Alternatively, students may propose their own topics in the fields of agro-, and ethnoecology. These topics may be linked to their master thesis.
