Lehrziel

The Course Participants will
-understand the theoretical background of stem cell biology, and the history of the discovery of primitive hematopoietic as well as hematopoietic stem cells
-know the principles of long term bone marrow culture and its value for analyzing the presence and potency of hematopoetic stem cells
-understand and perform simple flow cytometric analysis of blood cells
-know 2 problems on advancing stem cell transplantation to use of cultured stem cells, which are currently being solved and brought into the clinic.
