The Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) is looking for MSc students (6 month minimun period) developing their research (or looking to develop) in areas related to the biological sciences (plant biology, molecular biology, phytopathology, biotechnology and/or similar) with emphasis on grapevines. Applicants will have the opportunity to work in laboratory and/or vineyards.

Some of the research topics currently being developed are:

  • Development and implementation of early disease diagnosis of the grapevines based on PCR and classical microbiology (viruses and wood fungi).
  • Development and implementation of molecular markers for clonal differentiation in grapevines.
  • Development and implementation of techniques of biological control and strengthening of plant material through the use of beneficial microorganisms.
  • Development and implementation of techniques for cleaning plant material through in vitro techniques.


The projects are presented as an opportunity to develop as a thesis or grade memory in collaboration with universities. The company offers a monthly gross income of CLP$ 500,000 (EURO$ 651, aprox), mobilization to the Research Center from Talca, lunches and reimbursement of bus tickets (in case of living in a different city to Talca, within the national territory).
