The Fulbright Specialist Program pairs highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals with Austrian host institutions to share their expertise, strengthen institutional ties, gain international experience, and learn about Austrian culture while building capacity at their Austrian host institution. Specialists are competitively selected to join the Fulbright Specialist Roster based on their knowledge, skill sets, and ability to make a significant contribution to their host institution.

The academics on the roster are eligible to be matched with approved projects designed by Austrian host institutions. The project can be planned around a one-time visit of 2-6 weeks or be planned as a multi-visit project of 3x2 weeks. Application deadline: April 1 for the following academic year.

If you plan to submit a project, please contact the head of BOKU’s Center for International Relations, Dr. Margarita Calderón-Peter for further information.
