WHAT IS MODEL ASEM? 
Model ASEM is a youth conference and political simulation of the ASEM Foreign Ministers' Meeting (ASEM FMM) to enhance diplomacy, negotiation, and public-speaking skills among students from 51 ASEM countries.
 
The 8th Model ASEM will take place 15-20 November 2017 in Yangon and Naypyidaw, Myanmar, in conjunction with the 13th ASEM Foreign Ministers' Meeting (ASEM FMM13).
 
WHY IS MODELASEM UNIQUE?
The 8th Model ASEM is your chance to:

  • Personally interact with ASEM Foreign Ministers
  • Participate in role-playing exercises and practical trainings that will enhance your diplomacy, consensus-building and public-speaking skills
  • Engage in a collaborative framework fusing bilateral meetings, plenary sessions and working groups to develop the 8th Model ASEM Chair's Statement
  • During on-site visits gain direct insights into the daily life and operations of ASEM Diplomatic Missions and International Organisations

 
Accommodation, meals and travel subsidies will be provided for the selected participants. No registration fee applies.
