The Federal University of Santa Maria (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria - UFSM) informs the opening of a public edict for the SELECTION OF FOREIGN VISITOR PROFESSOR in Forestry Area.

Applications can be submitted up to January, 14 at the webpage, where all necessary informations are also available.

The requirements for applications are:

  • PhD. degree (least five years);
  • Teaching experience (minimum of three years);
  • Growth and yield modeling acknowledged expertise;
  • Single tree management and
  • Relevant scientific production (last five years);

After the submission, the applicants may send the documents via international registered mail. The selection will be made through the analysis of the Curriculum Vitae. The candidates should also include a list of publication statements of future research, teaching interests and two references.

The payment of the visiting professor will be R$ 17.995,92 (around US$ 5.800,00) per month. The contract will last to 24 (twenty-four) months and can be extended for the same period. The successful candidate is expected to develop research programs in Forest Growth and Management area and teach in undergraduate and graduate programs in the Forest Engineer course.
