The intern’s main responsibilities will lie in the area of student- and teacher mobility and include for the most part administrative tasks. He/she will be asked to work with student communication, especially through the website for incoming and outgoing students and teachers together with the mobility team and the student web editor. Maintaining and updating information in English, but also in Swedish as far as possible, will be an essential part of the intern’s tasks. He/she will help with the development of new informative material. Of vital importance hereby is the intern’s personal perspective as a student in order to simplify and improve our offers.

Participation in the preparation and realisation of information meetings for SLU students, within the topic of studies abroad, will also be part of the intern’s tasks. Furthermore will he/she be encouraged to suggest ideas and initiatives in the area of student communication and motivation, and to develop these independently. We also welcome initiatives for making the stay for incoming exchange students a positive experience. In addition to working with SLU’s mobility team you will work together with the student unions.

Swedish language skills will be of great advantage in order to participate actively in all given areas and tasks. The intern will, however, have the opportunity to improve his/her skills and is not expected to speak fluent Swedish at the start of the period. The internship is rather to be seen as an opportunity for him/her to learn about the work of the mobility team whilst considerably improving his/her Swedish language skills and contributing to the internationalisation of the university.  

The duration of the internship should ideally vary between four and six months. The intern will receive a compensation of approx. 200 €/month and will be expected to apply for additional funding through the Erasmus+ programme at his/her home university.
