Facing the Post Antibiotic Era this postgraduate summer school addresses some of the challenges and specific problems within the topic of 'Reducing Antibiotic Resistance in Livestock Farming' as well as the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of Vienna and it’s beautiful surroundings. You will learn through lectures from experienced scientists, group work and a memorable field trip to an Austrian farm as well as research stations.

Students from both- animal science and veterinary medicine - are encouraged to apply. Applications are welcome from PhD candidates, whose research is in the field of:
Monitoring antibiotic resistance (techniques, surveillance programmes, food safety, epidemiology) and reducing the need for antibiotics (health planning, feeding strategies, biosecurity).
