Call for papers for Tropentag 2016 (at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU Vienna), Vienna, Austria, from September 18 – 20)
The call for papers and preliminary conference information is now available!
The deadline for submission of your abstract(s) is April 15, 2016. There will be no extension of this submission deadline. The conference language is English and high quality abstracts of original research (250-350 words) are invited to be submitted using the online form (available from March 1st onwards)
Based on the quality of the submission, reviewers will decide upon the suitability of the contribution for presentation at the conference. Contributions of an interdisciplinary nature will be preferentially selected as oral presentation. We encourage specifically younger scientists to make submissions.
Poster contributions will be grouped into thematic clusters and will be addressed in guided poster sessions. During the guided poster sessions, every poster presenter will introduce her/his topic (3 minutes talk).
Notifications of acceptance will be sent on June 15, 2016.
All accepted contributions will be published in the conference proceedings and on the Tropentag homepage. Contributions from authors not attending or presenting their submissions at the Tropentag will be deleted from the online version of the proceedings; so if you make submissions you are expected to attend the conference.
Authors are also able to submit a four page version of their paper before October 30, 2016 for on-line publication.
For more detailed information please see the call text.
Organise your own workshop: We offer you the opportunity to organise your own workshop, specifically adapted to your target audience. The idea is that you either network targeting a specific topic or you offer capacity building, tasks forces for projects and follow your own initiative. The only condition is that your topic should be related to tropical agriculture in a wider sense.
