A special focus will be laid on the opportunities and risks posed by the introduction of renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions in the Global South. It is the intention of this symposium to pioneer discussion on this topic in Austria, contribute fresh thinking to the debate and to provide a networking opportunity for stakeholders engaged in rural development and sustainable energy solutions.
