1. Multidisciplinary Research on Medicinal Plants in Peru
    This course will use plants produced in some of Peru’s many ecosystems to train students in multidisciplinary medicinal plant research, through the discovery of bioactive compounds and the development of products derived from plants. Through this course, students will visit Peru’s three regions: coast, highlands and rainforest.

  2. Ecology and Conservation of Marine Mammals of the Humboldt Upwelling Ecosystem
    This is a residential field-based course in Peru on the biology, anatomy, physiology, ecology, evolution, behavior, population biology, management and conservation of marine mammals, explaining why this group is so important, controversial and interesting.

  3. Natural History of the Peruvian Tropical Coastal Marine System
    This is a residential field-based course on the Geology, Climatology, Oceanography and Ecology of the Tropical Eastern Pacific at the Northern coast of Peru and its ecotone with the Humboldt Current System.

  4. Biology Conservation Techniques of Parrots and Macaws in the Peruvian Amazon
    This is a field-based course in the south-eastern Peruvian Amazon on the natural history, biology, ecology, behavior, genetics and conservation biology of parrots and macaws.

  5. Medical Spanish and Community Medicine Service Learning in Peru
    Community Medicine is a branch of medicine that is concerned with the health of the members of a community. The emphasis in community medicine is on the early diagnosis of disease, the recognition of environmental and occupational hazards to good health, and the prevention of disease in the community.
       
  6. Global Health, Public Health and Medical Spanish
    This program is directed at university students and professionals who seek an intensive academic and hands-on experience looking at public health and community health in Peru.
