Wo finde ich ein günstiges und gutes Fahrrad in Wien?

Bicycling in Vienna In general cycling in Vienna is quite easy, fast and safe. There are a lot of cycling paths all over the city (e.g. along the Gürtel, the Ring street, etc.) which makes cycling quite popular! However, finding a good and cheap second hand bicycle can be challenging. Here are some websites where you can try your luck. Most of them are in German only, ask your Buddy or other German-speaking friends to help. Every first Wednesday of the month: bike-fleamarket at WUK, Währingerstraße: http://fahrrad.wuk.at/de/aktivitaeten/fahrradflohmarkt.htm Online-platform 'willhaben.at': https://www.willhaben.at/iad/kaufen-und-verkaufen/marktplatz/fahrraeder-radsport-4525?keyword=Fahrrad Online-platform 'bazar.at': http://www.bazar.at/wien-sport-anzeigen,q,Fahrrad,dir,1,cId,35,fc,9,loc,9,tp,0 '48er Bazar' (Bazar of the city’s waste management department) Tue. – Sat. 09.00-15.00h, Stadlauer Straße 41A, 1220 Wien https://www.wien.gv.at/umwelt/ma48/beratung/abfallvermeidung/basar.html Bike shops all over Vienna (just try your luck, they might have used bikes as well!) http://bikeboard.at/wien-fahrrad-haendler-1 Bike shop Csarmann, Linke Wienzeile 128: http://www.fahrrad-ski.at/
If you are lucky you can find a nice bike for around 50€ or even less. You can buy locks at big supermarkets, bike shops or DIY-stores. For those of you who just want to cycle occasionally (missed the last subway but too tired to party until the first one in the morning?), there is another really good option: The CityBike Wien. Sign up for 1€, pick up a bike at any station and return it at any empty bike box. It is for free for one hour - each time you use it. Check: https://www.citybikewien.at/en/ (website also in English!)
