All Project participants
were repeatedly invited (prior to and at the annual meting) to add any point to
the agenda of the steering committee meeting. The minutes of the steering
committee meeting will be distributed to all project partners.
Beginning of meeting
I. The following decisions
were made unanimously by the steering committee:
1. Work package
coordinators are fully responsible for their Work package report quality and
subtask responsible scientist for their respective subtask/s
2. We will keep
reporting deadline August 31 and fulfill all deliverables and milestones according
to the contract. However, the short time between end of field season until the
due period of annual project reporting for almost all participants remains
problematic.
3.
All project partners have to respond to requested information in time.
4. Meeting minutes
are excepted if no adversary opinion voiced by 14 days after sending.
5. The coding of sensitive database
information is applicable for confidentiality.
6. The deadline for the delivery of all
reports and cost statements to the project management is September 15, 2002.
Afterwards the reports will be compiled by the project management and sent to
the Commission not later than September 30, 2002.
7. Large databases will be submitted as
electronic files or presentable immediately to the commission if not included
in the report.
8. All presentations given at the annual
meeting in Norwich will be distributed to all project partners.
9. The project coordinator/manager will be
informed immediately by the responsible scientists about any major changes or
delays concerning the project progress/deliverables/milestones
II. Further discussed were the following points:
1.We are convinced, that our project relevant
plant material or fungal strain of each project partner is safe and does not require
an additional storage in another project partner storage facility?
2. The research of P7 does not violate the ethical aspects and safety provisions concerning genetic modified organism (Technical annex. Page 67).
3. P8 had difficulties to produce sufficient
seeds for the project; therefore a second increase is organized between the
project partners. However, sufficient seeds for the field season 2003 will be
available from P8 and no delays in deliverables or milestones should be
encountered.
