Experience the Global Platform from wherever you are – how to participate remotely               

While over 3.000 delegates are planning to attend the Global Platform conference in Geneva from 21-240513, we know that many people can’t attend in person. Here are some ways to experience and participate in the conference from wherever you are.

Virtual Global Platform
Participate in the online discussions covering HFA2 issues at the Global Platform. The first session will run from 15-170513. The second session will be held on 21-220513. Discussion summaries will be passed on to the chair of the informal plenary.

Live video webcast
Live video broadcasts of all main plenary events, including the informal plenary sessions, will be available on the Global Platform website starting on 210513.

Daily updates and press releases
Conference summaries will be released daily on the Global Platform website. Press releases for major announcements will also be available.

Twitter and Facebook
UNISDR will be actively monitoring and engaging the Global Platform through its Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr accounts. For Twitter, the hashtag for the Global Platform is #gpdrr13.

Over 70 15-minute videos of the IGNITE stage presentations will be posted to the Global Platform site as they become available.

Statement videos
Official statements by governments and partner organizations will be posted to the Global Platform website shortly after they are presented. Videos will be available in HD quality for re-transmission by the media and partner organizations.

Presentations from side events
Presentations and summaries of side events will be posted to the Global Platform website as they become available.

Marketplace Presentations
Many Marketplace exhibitors have already uploaded videos and other presentations for remote viewing.

PreventionWeb updates
Partner announcements and updates will be posted to PreventionWeb throughout the conference.
