Degree students are enrolled in an academic programme at their “home university” (Stammuniversität), where they re-register every semester. If they wish to take courses at another university which will count toward their academic degree, they may do so by co-registering. Students cannot complete an academic degree as co-registered students! Students are reminded that each university has its own formalities regarding co-registration, and should inquire with the university in question for more information.

Students wishing to take courses or sit for examinations at a university in Austria other than their home university in Austria must co-register with that university every semester. Students must first re-register at their home university (by paying student union and tuition fees) and then present proof of current enrolment to the university at which they wish to co-register.

Registration must be made in advance for a first time co-registration at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.  https://short.boku.ac.at/6gv62r

Following documents have to be submitted:

  • form
  • a current student record from the home university
  • passport or personal ID
  • Bachelor's students must additionally provide confirmation of successful completion of STEOP or must present a transcript documenting successfully completed examinations worth a total of at least 30 ECTS credits.
  • Master students must additionally present a transcript documenting successfully completed examinations worth a total of at least 30 ECTS credits.

Due to the current Corona situation it is recommended to submit documents (scan or picture) via mail to studienservices(at)boku.ac.at.

In the following semesters, students can co-register by presenting their current student record during the admissions period. Students wishing to re-register their co-registrations must first re-register for their academic programme at their home university!

If co-registration is not renewed during the admissions period it will expire at the end of the admssion period.

Please note! Co-registration is only possible during the Notice of continuation period!
