• Project types, project standards, project chains, business processes

• Project boundaries and project context

• Handling expectations of relevant project environments

• Project objectives

• Work breakdown structure to manage project scope

• Project scheduling

• Project resource and cost planning

• Design of project organisations, effective empowerment

• Project roles - expectations, competences and pitfalls

• The project start as the crucial phase for project success

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

• Establishment and/or optimisation of the participants` management skills in order to perform in international and/or multi-cultural projects.

• Introduction to the methodologies and organisational key factors essential to plan and carry out projects successfully.

• Establishment of a basis for advanced project management topics such as "Project Controlling" or "Leadership in Projects".

• Transfer of knowledge into practise: of particular focus will be the transfer of knowledge into practise. The course is driven by practical experience and real-life case studies ("Bring your Project") making the training dynamic and applicable. Further working forms are short inputs, group works, exchange of experience, reflection and feedback.
