Content

Acquainting the students with specific soil properties and processes, which can support measures of ecological engineering, e.g. filter, buffer and transformation effects with regard to biodiversity, biological transformation, the protection of ground water, and landscaping.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Knowledge of the main relevant soil constituents, processes and functions which are important for ecological engineering tasks, especially the implementation of Natural Soil Properties.
