The seminar Biotechnology of antibiotics is focused on aspects of industrial production processes. After successful completion of this course, students are able to describe all sections of an industrial production process from host cell development, up- and downstream processing, scale-up, process analytics, quality control to environmental, energy and waste disposal aspects. Students will be able to relate already acquired theoretical background and practical skills to a large scale production process.
