The seminar will be structured to learn how to prepare an give a presentation at a scientific conference. Various topics in the field of enzyme technology are issued (or may be suggested by the students). The topics are posted in the moodle e learning platform and will be selected during the kick-off meeting.
Abstracts of the planned presentations must be submitted by each participants and will be discussed in the next session, where also basics of presentation structure and styles will be elaborated.
During the final "conference days" each presentation will be given. The audience has to listen, ask questions and eventually has to rate each talk.
The seminar will be held exclusively in English, however language skills won't be rated.

After successful completion of the course, the students are able to carry out a literature search and to prepare abstracts and presentations as well as to present scientific results on a conference.
