Content

This course deals with the value-added chain in mountain forest management and thus interrelated topics. These include safeguarding sustainable management, risk management and multicriteria decision-making. The participants learn about the functions of the forest and the course of administrative procedures in Austria. Special attention will be given to the role of forestry engineering

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The aim of the course is to enable the participants to recognize and solve decision-making problems in mountain forest management in a multidisciplinary manner in order to meet the ecological, economic, technical and participatory requirements of today's society in the field of mountain forest management.
