Previous knowledge expected

Basics in mathematics and stochastics

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students know and understand the principals of sampling theory and experimental design as well as the statistical methods discussed in the course. They are able to choose appropriate methods for given problems and they know the limitations of these methods. Students are able to use the software package R, apply the discussed methods and interpret the results.
