Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After successfully passing this course the students know the basics of waste management and the important corresponding legal regulations in the European Union. They understand the main waste treatment technologies like mechanically-biologically pre-treatment, waste incineration, landfilling. They are able to apply the gained knowledge and adapt it with respect to specific regional waste management situations and challenges.
