Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After completion of this course the participants understand the basics and tasks of quality management and how elements like quality policy, quality design, quality control, quality improvement and quality assurance are connected.

The participants know the steps how quality standards and management systems have been developed - up to Total Quality Management and Quality Awards.
They know the main steps to implement a quality management systems according to ISO 9001. They know the reqirements for documentation and their management.

The participants have knowledge on requirements and implementation of GMP, GLP, ISO 22000 and IFS (International Featured Standard Food).

The participants know different types of audits, and their meaning and are able to describe the process , the preparatory phase / conditions and the execution of internal audits and the implementation of necessary corrective and improvement measures. They know the main differences between certification and accreditation.

They know the central idea and the goals of lean manufacturing compared to traditional manufacturing. They know the measures of productivity-oriented maintenance, know possible sources of losses and how to calculate indicators for equipment efficiency.

They know possible models of crisis prevention systems, the contents of a contingency plan and the tasks of the crisis unit. They will be able to divide crises into risk categories and to know about the progress of a goods recall.
