"120 Years of the University of Natural Resources" Fund

The board of the “120 Years of the University of Natural Resources” Fund is awarding grants from the to support the implementation of research projects.

Purpose of the Fund: 

The purpose of the Fund is to promote fundamental scientific research and applied research in the field of forestry, in particular in the areas of silviculture, soil science, forest entomology, forestry yield studies, forestry technology and wood research. 

The Fund works to: 

a) Carry out research projects and the associated academic publication and documentation.

For this purpose the Fund’s board awards research project orders to certain professors, lecturers, scientists, students and graduates of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.

b) Award annually prizes for outstanding academic work in the above mentioned fields (for master or diploma theses, dissertations and habilitation papers). 

Section a) above mentioned represents the main aim of the Fund. 

In accordance with a resolution by the board, the grants should serve above all to permit applied research projects which are in line with the profile of the University and have a high degree of practical relevance. 

Depending on the interest income received, € 20,000 will be distributed.

The allocation of these funds is the responsibility of the board.

Applicants are required to submit a detailed presentation of the intended research work, a summary and evidence if applicable of relevant academic qualifications. A CV, together with a cost estimate and publication list if applicable.
