Research Support, Innovation & Technology Transfer (FoS)

The service unit "Research Support, Innovation & Technology Transfer" is assigned to the Vice-rector for Research and Innovation and supports him in executing his tasks in line with the rules of the rectorate´s internal procedure. Furthermore the service unit "Research Support, Innovation & Technology Transfer" counsels BOKU scientists, acts as a partner and agent for science, economy, politics and administration and provides information for BOKU scientists, to the media and the public interested.

Services offered

Pre-Award Support

The pre-award support team offers orientation advice on research funding programmes as well as information and support for technical - administrative questions concerning project submissions.

Technology Transfer

The Technology Transfer team is responsible for the protection of intellectual property (IP) and offers competent support in the commercialisation of BOKU research results. We are the right contact for matters such as invention disclosures, patent and licence management and help scientists with the commercial implementation of innovative ideas.

Research Information System - FIS

The FIS-Team supports BOKU researchers when recording their research output in BOKU´s research information System. We also support quality assurances processes, are responsible for data collection and QA for mandatory reports and surveys, and offer strategic key data to the rectorate and heads of departments.

BOKU:BASE

The BOKU:BASE team promotes entrepreneurial thinking and action and is the contact point for innovation and entrepreneurship. From the realisation of innovative ideas and entrepreneurship in teaching to the founding of your own company, the BOKU:BASE team is there to support you.

Research Communication

Supplying and disseminating of information on relevant research calls and announcements, communication on BOKU´s research activities and cooperations.

DocService

The BOKU DocService acts as a coordination and service unit for both doctoral candidates and University staff involved in doctoral training. In addition, the DocService coordinates the implementation of doctoral schools and provides them with organisational and administrative support.

Citizen Science Service

The team offers individual advice and tips on how to involve citizens in citizen science projects, arranging contacts for possible cooperation or in-depth questions, as well as training workshops on how to use citizen science as a method.
