Call for applications - Inge Dirmhirn Scholarship for the Promotion of a Master Degree at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna 2017

The Equal Opportunities Working Party BOKU awards the Inge Dirmhirn Scholarship amounting to € 2.400,- (two thousand four hundred) for the promotion of a Master thesis at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences.

This scholarship aims at financially supporting the possibility to intensively work on a Master thesis. The scholarship wishes to stimulate a Master thesis in the field of gender and/or diversity studies with BOKU relevant content. Futhermore, with the scholarship mobility should be promoted for junior researchers.

The scholarship is open for all students registered for a Master degree program at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. The Master thesis in German or English language must be commenced by February 1, 2018 at the latest and has to be graded positive within one year.

The call for the Inge Dirmhirn Scholarship is open for Master theses in the field of gender and/or diversity topics with BOKU relevant content.

Applications of interdisciplinary Master theses with creative approaches on the average of good research will be particularly welcomed.

Applicants will receive a confirmation of their application by email.

The following documents have to be submitted:

  • Application form
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Copy of the „Studienblatt“ (student data protocol) showing the enrollment in a Master study program
  • Topic of the planned Master thesis including a short description of the Master thesis project with regards to its working hypothesis and objectives.
  • Motivational statement of the applicant why this work fulfills the criteria of this scholarship call
  • Letter confirming supervision

The decision to grant the Inge Dirmhirn Scholarship will be made by December 15, 2017 according to the guidelines of the Equal Opportunities Working Party. The recipient of the scholarship will be informed in writing. The scholarship will be awarded officially at an academic ceremony in 2018.
