From the Train station "Südbahnhof":

  • S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3 or S8) to stop "Landstrasse/Wien Mitte", switch to Underground railway U4 (direction "Heiligenstadt") and exit at stop "Heiligenstadt". Tickets for public transport

Tickets for public transport can be bought at the ticket agencies of the "Wiener Linien", the customer centre of the "Wiener Linien", at the Viennese tobacconists ("Tabak Trafiken") and the "VOR" ticket machines in the underground stations. Tickets for a single trip can be bought on busses and trams.

  • The One-Way-Ticket for a single trip costs 1,70 € if you buy it in advance. On the tram or bus it costs 2,20 €.
  • The 24-hour Vienna card costs 5,70 € (valid for exactly 24 hours from the time they are punched).
  • A 72-hour ticket costs 13,60 € (valid for exactly 72 hours from the time they are punched).
  • An 8-day ticket costs 27,20 € (can be used by several persons, one strip per 24 hours per person).
  • A ticket for one week ("Wochenkarte") costs 14 € (valid from Monday to Sunday).
