IROICA –European Network of International Relations Officers at Higher Education Institutes for Agricultural and Related Sciences

IROICA is a European network of International Relations Officers at Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Agricultural and Related Sciences. It was created in 1997 as an activity within the "DEMETER" Socrates Thematic Network which has been renamed AFANet meanwhile. This project was initiated by already existing networks of Rectors and Deans with special interests in:
•    fields of agriculture and related sciences ( ICA )
•    forestry (SILVA)
•    development co-operation (NATURA)
1998 became a Standing Committee within ICA , today IROICA has the status of a non-profit international association with its own statutes

NATURA - Network of European Agricultural [Tropically and Subtropically Oriented] Universities and Scientific Complexes Related with Agricultural Development

NATURA is an international association created in 1998 which currently comprises 33 European Higher Educational Institutions. Its objective is to contribute to the transfer of knowledge and the creation of new technologies that are essential to economic, social and cultural development and to the protection of the environment NATURA co-operates with REDCA, CACCAR and CIDEFA, and institution like FAO, etc

SILVA - European Forest Science Academic Network

The primary objective of the SILVA Network is to stimulate and facilitate educational co-operation in the field of forestry in Europe .
The secondary objective will be realized at four levels:
•    Students : To make it possible for students to carry out part of their studies abroad
•    Teachers : To stimulate and facilitate sojourns of teachers abroad
•    Curriculum : to encourage the exchange of information on the development of curricula and the development of joint curricula

ELLS  - Euroleague for Life Sciences

The aim of the ELLS is to develop a network of quality universities in the field of natural resources management, Environmental Sciences and Life Sciences. EPSO – European Plant Science Organisation

EPSO is an independent body that represents already 54 leading Research Institutions from 23 European countries. The mission is
1.    To increase the visibility and impact of the European plant science community
2.    To articulate the vision of the European plant science community for the future and advise on decisions of funding agencies at the European and national level on long term strategies to support plant science
